How to Start DomoAI: Your First Video, Credits and Plan Selection

To start DomoAI, prepare one image you have permission to use, create an account and try an Image to Video task. Then decide whether the output, generation costs and waiting time fit what you want to make. This guide separates your first test from the decision to purchase a recurring plan.
1. Decide what you want to make
| Your starting material | Feature to explore |
|---|---|
| One photo or illustration | Image to Video |
| Existing footage to restyle | Video to Video |
| A character image and reference movement | Character to Video |
A short, specific first task is easier to evaluate than a whole film. For example, animate a blink in a character portrait or a slight tail movement in a cat illustration. These are suggested tests, not promised outputs.
2. Create an account and inspect the available allowance
Open DomoAI and follow its sign-up options. The current terms describe email or third-party sign-in such as Google or Discord. Check the actual free allowance shown in your account. Older articles and different official feature pages show different trial amounts, so this guide does not promise a fixed number of free credits.
If a trial flow asks for payment details, read the trial end date and any automatic subscription terms before accepting. A free allowance and a trial that converts to a paid subscription should not be treated as the same offer.
3. Make your first Image to Video
- Open Image to Video and upload an image with one clear subject.
- Choose an available model and a short duration.
- Describe one small movement and whether the camera should stay still.
- Check Fast / Relax eligibility and the displayed credit cost.
- Generate once, then inspect the entire result before making a second version.
A suggested prompt is: The cat blinks slowly. Keep the camera still. Preserve the original illustration. If it changes the character too much, reduce the motion or try an image with clearer features. Changing one setting at a time makes the comparison more useful.
For an actual example already published on this site, see the black-cat animation post (Japanese, with video). The prompt above is not claimed to reproduce that example.
4. Choose a plan by workload
| Plan | Reason to compare it |
|---|---|
| Basic | A small amount of production without Relax |
| Standard | Repeated experiments with supported Relax models |
| Pro | Greater Fast demand or particular higher-tier features |
As of September 5, the official pricing page shows Basic at $13 monthly / $9 monthly equivalent annually, Standard at $42 / $29 and entry Pro at $142 / $99. Annual billing is a full-year commitment, not twelve monthly instalments. Confirm the actual total, tax and currency at checkout.
Relax covers supported models and tasks, not every feature. Seedance and MiniMax H3 are currently listed as Fast-only. Estimate your credits as planned finished clips × attempts per clip × the credit cost displayed for each attempt, then add any finishing tasks.
If the first test fits, compare a plan for your workload
Check models, credits and the full annual total. Short-term work can still suit monthly billing.
5. Check rights and billing before publication or purchase
Use source images, voices and music you own or have permission to use. The current terms discuss commercial output rights, while some feature FAQs differ on plan-specific licensing. Confirm your intended commercial use with support when necessary. Review uploaded-content handling in the privacy policy rather than assuming uploads are never stored.
Subscriptions normally renew automatically. Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the paid period, and partial periods are normally not refunded except as stated or required by law. Save the plan name, full charge and renewal date after purchasing.
Reader coupon
The code KURONYANKOTAN has a past documented 10% application on this site. Check current eligibility in checkout rather than assuming the old discount still applies. See the coupon instructions and historical screenshot.
FAQ
Do I need Discord?
The current service also supports web access. Follow the sign-in options offered by DomoAI.
Will a paid plan fix an imperfect result?
More credits or features do not guarantee a particular output. Test with your actual material first.
When is annual billing worth comparing?
When your required models work with your material and you have a continuing production schedule. Compare the annual total with the months you actually expect to use.
